Faced with unprecedented and challenging times, feelings of helplessness and desperation are very real. From financial worries with the possibility of losing a job or having lost all form of income, maybe relationship concerns with bickering and fighting, bereavement from losing a loved one and facing a changing world, depression is a real consequence for many of these difficult times. Adults and children alike are equally affected with feelings of helplessness and unease.
Feeling depressed can bring to light different reactions from people. Some might have trouble sleeping, some might be dipping into the refrigerator and pantry for snacks to provide relief and some may find that depression has a freezing effect and consequently all motivation to begin and finish a task is lost.
